The only negative comments I have had relating to durability are concerning the finder on the Premier Edition series. They do not suffer abuse well and tend to break off. I installed the right angle modificiation early on and that finder has proven to be sturdy. I have had my RA for over ten years and it has been used a GREAT deal. The only issues I ever had required me to reposition one of the small teflon pads that the RA mechanism rides on. The view would hesitate and skip along until I fixed that.
